4 Protest the USPS being brought under the Commerce Dept because this is the step to privatize and then control mail in voting(if this happens 1 in 7 votes will be lost….MIT doubles that to 1 in 4)
One of the hidden goals of dismantling ED is to end the collection of central data that creates some type of transparency across states. No more information with whether all states are making efforts to educate all children. No more information that compares the US to students and other countries.
No more information about Weather students are graduating if it’s standing, literate or numerate.
I sat in Albany high school from 1972 through 1975. Some of my classes, all we did was take roll call. I really don’t remember what I learned - nothing - in the last year or two of school. Now college was very different. Plus in high school there was a group of us who worked together, studied, made marks on SATs and just thrived. The school is closed now. I think we need to re imagine schools.
I love Abbott elementary. My parents were teachers in south ga poor school systems. GA doesn’t support anything. Worthless state. But I am an MD product of public education and private college/MD and two residencies.
We need a educated electorate to have a chance at a good government. So MAGA wants to rewrite history so that Diversity, Inclusion, Equity are taught as a bad thing, I know states control education but without Federal Oversight we fail and MAGA wants that. So we need to defeat Trump GOP MAGA in the midterms. Hopefully the egotistical Trump will keep shooting himself, and people of all stripes realize that Trump's GOP MAGA is pushing us to an autocratic government.
