Why has it taken this many days into this despotic regime for you educated political scientists to realize that everything Trump is doing is NOT LEGAL? Why are all the Congress sitting on their hands hoping someone else will stand up and say, "THIS IS ILLEGAL. HE HAS NO AUTHORITY TO ALLOW ELON MUSK INTO OUR SYSTEM. HE HAS NO AUTHORITY TO KIDNAP ANYONE. PAM BONDI IS VIOLATING HER OATH AS A LAWYER AND AS AN ATTORNEY GENERAL, BUT NO ONE IS CLAPPING THE CUFFS ON HER AND LEADING HER OUT OF HER OFFICE. We peons; We, the People; we peasants, all we can do is howl about it. Trump is doing everything he said he'd do. WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR YOU GUYS TO BELIEVE IT?????

This was one of the better discussions I have heard. I am so glad I decided to take the time to listen. You have a solid point. We need to re-educate the people on why we became a government by the people and for the people. The mad King has returned.

To Stuart's point, it's like whether or not you use the Ring of Power.

Maybe you could divide the "Letter to America" into a few separate parts. Like the tariffs. Even Rand Paul and a few other Republicans might sign a more limited version. Some GOP might sign onto some parts of it if not the whole thing.

He's going to get more extreme, more crazy, and something really earth shattering bad will happen. For example, if the economy collapses, or even goes into a recession, he might launch a war, or multiple wars. He might attack Iran. He might take Greenland. etc.

The deportations and potentially targeting US citizens for deportation, criminal investigations (already happened), imprisonment, etc., tax audits, will ramp up if things get bad in the economy.

So we are in for a very very rough ride.

I slightly disagree about "no past" with authoritarianism. Yes, the revolution, but also decades of segregation and Jim Crow. This is a kind of authoritarianism that just wasn't directly felt by everyone. We do have a history. Democracy to authoritarianism is a continuum.

Someone needs to get universities, public and private, to stand together against this and against administrators who bend the knee. This might come from university faculty unions, and probably has to include the threat of a general strike. We can't count on administrators especially at public universities to do the right thing. I think any of us with connections need to start those kinds of discussions.

If they pick us off one at a time, we are going to in the long run lose.

Glad the Harvard refusal was lifted up. Tariffs to Harvard to States' Attorney Generals shows me we do have a way to fight. And let's pick the best words for the fight, such as Betrayal. Never thought about the power of the state as a powerful government. Well, of course they are! Duh! most of us really haven't thought that way. And to anyone that thinks they won't be touched by the madness of Trumpism, think again. Things happen in a wink and blink. Thanks for the insights. Good conversation. (I like barking dogs too. It keeps it real.)

Cheeto Nazi Strongman Now After “Homegrowns”

Americans will not get due process anymore according to Cheeto And now you’ll be sent out of the country to a El Salvadorian prison where you may never get out Due process? Probably not And now the Cheeto Nazi has now gone public with statements such as:

If you attack Tesla cars…. El Salvador? or Auschwitz….they are the same

Deemed a terrorist by the regime…. El Salvador? or Auschwitz….they are the same

If you have a “bad” judge or “bad” verdict that the regime doesn’t think is in line how the regime sees the law….El Salvador?

Committed no crime…. El Salvador? or Auschwitz….they are the same

If you happen to be imprisoned in state or federal prisons….El Salvador? or Auschwitz….they are the same

Cheeto followers love a strong macho man to lead the country America deserves the best and get rid of the scumbags that traffic our streets Only the “good” Christian people get to stay in the country They are called the indifferents

As Hitler said in the 1928 “We tolerate no one in our ranks who attacks the ideals of Christianity Our movement is Christian”
