One exception to Virginia electing a governor of the opposing party from the President. In 2013, we elected Terry McAuliffe after Obama was re-elected in 2012. Otherwise, the electing-governor-from-President’s-opposition rule in VA definitely applies since the 1970s. Great discussion ; enjoyed it, guys!
