Fortunately, Jeffrey has ethics and integrity, and knows more about how to protect national security interests than Pete Hegseth and Marco Rubio, and chose not to report what he learned before the military strike in Yemen.
But, if you think the Atlantic editor keeping his reporting powder dry meant America dodged a national security bullet, think again. Remember Trump’s “Russia, if you’re listening…?” Well, they are. Count on it. And our allies and partners? They’re listening, too, and what they’re hearing are endless reasons to not share intelligence with the United States. Every day Trump is in office, Americans at home and abroad are less safe.
