Can't wait to hear what you have to say at the LP town hall tomorrow.
I can answer one question you asked, though, about what the Greatest Generation who stormed the beaches at Normandy would say: My late FIL was one of those young Army kids who made it through Normandy, fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded a Purple Heart. He - and my late dad who served in the Korean War - would be outraged and heartbroken that the party they belonged to their whole lives would so utterly and callously throw away the legacy they fought to preserve. They would feel what all of us feel at being betrayed by the elected leadership of this country.
I don't think one of the people on our crack 'national security team' gave a single thought to the danger of using personal cellphones and a commercial messaging app to plan a military attack. Whether it's carelessness, incompetence or a bit of both, not one person tasked with protecting this country batted an eye at the security risk they exposed this country to with their actions. And now, just watch. First, they'll deny it happened, when that doesn't work, they'll downplay it, and finally they'll claim 'nobody cares but the 'lunatic left.'
We can expect the Administration to excoriate Jeffrey Goldberg for not logging off the call and for remaining on it. Perhaps they will investigate him.
It's a good thing Pete's dick pics didn't get out too.

Thanks for bringing some laughter into this terrible news. See you tomorrow at the town hall.
